Store and account region

Shadowrocket is not available in the mainland China App Store. If you can’t find it, first check the country or region associated with your Apple Account instead of repeatedly changing your search terms. The App Store catalog depends on your account’s store region; your physical location, device language, and store region are separate settings. After opening the product page linked here, check the purchase status shown for the account you’re currently signed in with.

Check your Media & Purchases account

On your device, go to Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → Country/Region. Follow the prompts to view your account details; on some system versions, you may need to tap “View Account” first. This is the account used for App Store purchases, which may differ from the account name shown on the main Settings screen. Before purchasing, confirm that you’re using the intended account so you can find the app in the same purchase history later.

The Country/Region page is the system-provided place to review or change your store region. Whether you can change it depends on your account status and the prompts shown by the system. Your balance, active subscriptions, payment method, and Family Sharing settings may affect the process. Review the requirements before proceeding. This guide explains where to check your settings but cannot guarantee that you’ll be able to change regions; changing regions is not a universal fix for download issues.

Tell an unavailable app apart from an incomplete download

If you see a message that the app isn’t available in your current store, check your region first. If the product page shows a price but payment won’t complete, review the payment message. If a download has started but stalled, check your network and available storage. Address the issue at the relevant step to avoid switching back and forth between account, payment, and device troubleshooting. Purchases are completed through the App Store; this site does not charge for the app.

How to verify the official Shadowrocket listing

The name helps you find the app; the developer, official icon, and app ID help you verify it. Confirm all three before purchasing.

Shadowrocket

Shadow Launch Technology Limited

Check the full developer name

On the App Store product page, check the developer or seller. It should read Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Search results may include similar names, lookalike icons, or listings with extra words. Seeing “Shadowrocket” alone isn’t enough to verify a listing. Open the full product page and check its details rather than paying based on the first search result.

Compare the official icon and app ID

The official icon is a blue-and-purple outlined rocket on a white background, matching the icon shown on this page. Then check the product page URL for the app identifier id932747118. The app ID identifies the listing; it is not a server number and should not be entered in Add Server. The icon and name are useful clues, but verify them alongside the developer name and app ID.

Screenshots show what the interface looks like

Both images alongside this text are official App Store screenshots. The Home screenshot shows Not Connected, Global Routing, Connectivity Test, and SERVER. The Add Server screenshot shows fields such as Type, Host, Port, Password, and Method. They illustrate the app’s layout; they don’t mean a connection is configured after purchase, and the entries shown are not ready to use.

The English labels, item order, or available options in screenshots may differ from what appears on your device. Use the App Store listing and the current app as your reference. Don’t copy screenshot values just to make your interface look the same. Configure your connection using your own details, and don’t post sensitive information such as Passwords or subscription URLs publicly.

Device / iPhone

Install and open Shadowrocket on iPhone

On your iPhone, use the App Store product page to check compatibility, price, and purchase account. After purchasing, wait for the app to download. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements; your device’s name alone doesn’t determine compatibility. If the system asks you to update, first check whether the required system version is suitable for your device. If you see an account or payment message, resolve that first rather than changing connection settings in the app.

Opening the app doesn’t mean you’re connected

After installation, open Shadowrocket. The connection toggle and server list in Home are app settings. On a new installation, you’ll also need to import your own subscription or enter your server details. A purchase record confirms your right to use the client; it does not provide connection details such as Host, Port, or Password. If you haven’t added a usable configuration, prepare your details before trying to connect.

The first time you turn on the connection, the system may ask permission to add a VPN configuration. This system authorization is required to manage network connections and is separate from App Store payment confirmation. Make sure you initiated the action, then follow the device prompts to authorize it. If you cancel, the app may not be able to connect; that doesn’t mean your purchase failed, and you don’t need to buy the app again.

Save your settings, then test the connection

After configuring the app, check the selected entry and Global Routing before trying to connect. Connectivity Test can help with troubleshooting, but a single test result doesn’t replace checking whether the connection works for your intended use. For connection failures, check the network, protocol type, and settings. For download failures, check the store and device. Keep the two issues separate when troubleshooting. For import and testing instructions, see the Setup guide.

Device / iPad

Install on iPad and check compatibility

After purchasing with an Apple Account, you can redownload the app from Purchased on compatible iPhone and iPad devices. Check the App Store page for availability across iPhone and iPad, device compatibility, and system requirements. On iPad, confirm that Media & Purchases is signed in with the account used for the original purchase, then find the app in your App Store account. You don’t need to place another order on a different device first.

A different layout doesn’t mean a different configuration

The larger iPad screen, landscape orientation, window size, or Split View can change how lists and details appear. Look for interface labels such as Home, Config, Settings, and Add Server rather than relying on the exact button positions in an iPhone screenshot. If something isn’t visible in the current window, return to the relevant page and check there instead of assuming you installed a different app.

Purchase eligibility doesn’t mean your configuration syncs automatically. After installing on another device, check the server list, current Config, and connection toggle to confirm that your details are available. To migrate, use a saved configuration or reimport your existing subscription, then check that it updated successfully. Before using connection details from an old device, make sure they’re still valid.

Controls and layouts may vary between devices. The first-time authorization and configuration import instructions on this page focus on iPhone and iPad; on other devices, follow the App Store information and the in-app interface. A successful purchase or connection on one device does not prove compatibility or configuration status on another.

Purchase History / Restore

Restore purchases after changing devices or reinstalling

To restore the app, first find the original purchase record. Sign in with the Apple Account used to buy it, then find Shadowrocket under App Store → Account → Purchased and tap to redownload it. The entry point may appear in a different part of the account page on other system versions; follow what you see on your device. Eligible apps that you’ve already purchased can usually be redownloaded without paying again. Check your purchase history before confirming another payment.

If you still see a price, pause before purchasing again

First check that the account currently used for Media & Purchases matches the original purchase account, then confirm that Shadowrocket appears in your purchase history. You can also check whether the app is hidden, whether it’s available in your current store, and whether your device meets the compatibility requirements. A displayed price alone doesn’t prove that you need to pay again. If the purchase history and product page don’t match, follow the account prompts in the App Store to investigate.

For Family Sharing, check the App Store listing and your current family settings to see whether sharing is supported and whether your family members are eligible. Your own purchase record and a family member’s purchase record are separate; eligibility for one doesn’t automatically apply to the other. Check which account owns the purchase before restoring to avoid looking under the wrong account.

Restore your connection details after restoring the app

Redownloading the app doesn’t restore every configuration from your old device. After opening Shadowrocket, check the server list in Home, the current selection in Config, and the connection details you need. If you have your own subscription, import it again and check that it updates successfully. For a manual setup, compare each field with your saved server details. Seeing the app icon on your device doesn’t mean the migration is complete.

Before wiping or retiring your old device, make sure your new device can access the required details and complete a connection test. Subscription URLs may contain access credentials, so keep them secure during migration. If you need to record an error, keep the message text but don’t share full URLs, Passwords, or other sensitive details publicly. For subscription update and connection test instructions, see Subscription update guide.

One-time Purchase

Price, one-time purchase, and connection services

Shadowrocket is a paid commercial app. The US App Store reference price is $2.99 as a one-time purchase; other stores show local currency, and the final price is shown at App Store checkout. The one-time payment is for the client, not a recurring app fee paid to this site. Check your store page and purchase history for the currency, tax display, and final amount that apply to you.

The app reads configurations, applies rules to requests, and manages connections. Service availability depends on your existing server, subscription status, and current network. A successful purchase and a working connection are separate steps: confirm the purchase in your App Store history, then use the correct details in the app to test your connection. A connection timeout doesn’t indicate a purchase problem, and buying the app again won’t resolve it.

Where to check prices and update details

Before purchasing, check the current price shown in your store; afterward, review your App Store transaction history. App updates are delivered through the App Store. Refer to the product page for update details and system requirements. This guide doesn’t list a fixed version or update date, so temporary details aren’t mistaken for long-term requirements. If automatic updates are enabled, you can still check the update status on your App Store account page.

If the app opens but no usable entries appear after import, check your subscription content, import results, and update messages. If entries appear but won’t connect, check the protocol type and settings. To learn what each Type is for, see the Protocol guide. Purchasing the app is only a first step; it doesn’t provide the connection details themselves.

Purchase / FAQ

Download and purchase FAQ

Check the store, device, and purchase history first; then troubleshoot the in-app configuration.

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket on the App Store?

Shadowrocket is not available in the mainland China App Store. Your Apple Account’s country or region determines which store you see. First, check your account details under Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → Country/Region, then open the App Store product page linked here. Purchase availability depends on what your current store displays.

What if the product page opens but the download won’t complete?

Read the specific App Store message first. Then check your account’s store region, device compatibility, payment status, available storage, and network connection. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements, and troubleshoot download issues separately from connection problems in the app.

Do I have to pay again after changing devices or reinstalling?

Sign in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase, then download Shadowrocket again from App Store → Account → Purchased. In most cases, you won’t need to pay again. If a price still appears, check your purchase history and the account currently used for Media & Purchases. After restoring the app, check your own subscription or server details.

Can I install it on my iPad if I bought it on my iPhone?

After purchasing with the same Apple Account, you can redownload Shadowrocket from your purchases on a compatible iPad. Check the App Store page for availability across iPhone and iPad, device compatibility, and system requirements. Installing the app does not automatically sync your configuration.

Can I use it on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section on the App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Open the page on your target device to check availability. Refer to the App Store page for universal purchase availability and system requirements.

The interface is in English. How do I follow the guide?

This guide keeps interface labels such as Home, Global Routing, Config, and Add Server in English so you can find them as shown in the app. App Store screenshots show the English interface; what you see may vary depending on your device’s language settings and app support. Interface language alone does not verify that an app is authentic.
